Julie Jaurique-Chipps, Assoc. AIA, Receives 2011 AIACC AEP Associate’s Award

We are pleased to announce Julie Jaurique-Chipps, Associate AIA, as the recipient of the 2011 AIACC AEP Associate’s Award. This award is given to an Associate AIA member who best exemplifies the highest qualities of leadership and has demonstrated unparalleled commitment to his/her chapter or region’s membership, in the community, in professional organizations, and/or in the design and construction industries.

Julie began her commitment to the AIA during her college years. As a Construction Management major she found that being involved in the design industry would help network with people in her profession. Upon finishing school, she entered the real world knowing that she needed to interact with other local Emerging Professionals and Seasoned Architects to help mentor her towards the path to licensure. She approached her local AIA Chapter to see what they had to offer. In 2007, she became the AIASJ Associate Director and has since served on the AIASJ Board of Directors while employed with Darden Architects, Inc., in Fresno, California. She completed the Intern Development Program (IDP), and is currently volunteering as an Auxiliary Coordinator for her firm, as well as other firms within the AIASJ territory. Julie has exhibited unparalleled leadership and commitment to the AIA San Joaquin Chapter. Click here to view her submittal.
